The online gambling operator PointsBet has agreed on a three-year extension to its content and marketing partnership with the PGA Tour.
The extension builds upon an agreement signed in 2020 that saw PointsBet become an official betting operator of the PGA Tour.
PointsBet and PGA Tour extend partnership
According to the announcement, PointsBet and the PGA Tour have agreed to extend their existing content and marketing partnership for another three years.
As part of the expanded relationship, PointsBet’s live betting odds integrations will be featured on PGA TOUR linear and streaming broadcasts on GOLF Channel and Peacock with plans to include on the NBC broadcast in the future. PointsBet will also remain the official sports betting partner of NBC Sports.
Other aspects of the deal will include PointsBet continuing to have access to the PGA Tour’s library of archived and b-roll footage. This footage will be available for use in pre-tournament and post-game betting content preview shows, betting-specific videos and sharing highlights to PointsBet users.
PointsBet will also gain the right to advertise with PGA Tour broadcasts, OTT, and PGA Tour media platforms. This will also include the use of PGA Tour content and other intellectual property to promote betting on events.
On top of this, the expanded deal will see PointsBet become the official free-to-play provider of the PGA Tour, with a new game to be released for fans.
A new game has been developed by Low6 and will be exclusively presented by PointsBet in the US. The free-to-play game features a guaranteed weekly cash prize of $5,000 and has a points system tired directly to live odds featuring games.

In recent months, the Australia-based betting company has been hard at work to establish itself as one of the top betting firms in the US with several product launches and partnerships with sports organisations.
At the time of writing, PointsBet currently offers sports betting in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, and West Virginia.
